OK I am having issue's with mpg tune and hybrid tune.
1st the hybrid tune the truck in WOT does NOT seam to be on the same table as my ultra comp street. Much more de-tuned I guess. When getting on it shifting into third the truck falls flat on its face the gets back up and runs.
The mpg tune throws a CEL but does not post a code or said no code found. I am wondering out loud if I got a mpg tune with EGR on and I have a block off which would throw a code?!
Having the same problem with Hybrid tune. Still waiting for a response from Matt. How is the Ultra comp tune compared to the hybrid? I'm thinking about trying that next.
I do not run those tunes but, the Ultra Comp should out perform Hybrid. So if your concern is Ultra Comp out doing the Hybrid; it is supposed to. The Hybrid is based on the ASE and a comp tune if I remember correctly.
As far as I know matt no longer carries the Ultra Comp.. I still have my original one from him.. I've tested both and feel UC is must quicker, but HR has some quirks I like
I had some time this morning so I updated my xcal3 and decided to try the canned tunes for the first time and was very suprised to find the perfomance tune had much better performance than the the hybrid race file I have been using. Has anyone else tried comparing the two? The only thing I don't like is the egr is on in the canned file. Other than that performance and driveability is much better.

Yup... Me too. I'm not comfortable with it though. I need information like: What are the cylinder pressures, what is the injector timing set to, what are the transmission settings, etc... SCT just looked at me funny (metaphorically speaking) when I called them and asked. Kind of a --um, yeah... We'll get back to you on that {loser}!

Well i'm glad i'm not the only one. I'm almost sorry I sold my superchips flashpaq. I used the redline file on that for about a year without any problems. It was the best file ive used so far and the egr was turned off in that file.

To each his own... I'm very happy with the SCT X3 and the Gen-Econ tune. Hybrid race is a safe hot tune and Matt is a straight shooter. I'm doin' fine.
I know what you guys are talking about with the performance out performing the Matt's tunes, in my case the ultra comp. The canned tune shifted like crap and didnt have much power under little to moderate throttle but at full trhottle it would smoke the UC. I know the UC will outdo the SCT tune if the transmisson would lock, I feel like I am just roasting the clutches whenever I get on it, atleast til it hits fourth and then takes off.
Matt said he has something for me to try, but nothing new in the inbox...
Hopefully he will get them to me soon, and I will let you guys know what I found out.
As far as the difference between the UC and HR, they UC seemed much more well-mannered than the HR. It has a lot of power with just a little bit of throttle which I really like. The UC seemed a little faster at full throttle than the HR but some say the HR is his most powerful tune.
Guys, I am working on finishing up some of the calibration of the new replacement strategy for the 2005-2007 trucks feeling "flat" on top end as all of you are experiencing. I've beta tested several different versions, and while being very close to performing the way I want haven't gotten it quite right.
Just wanted to pass on the word that it is something I'm actively working on and you haven't been forgotten.

Hey, Matt-
Do you have anything for my 04 that I can play with? So far, all of the 3 you sent me are great and now I'm venturing out! What IS the deal with the canned performance tune? I ran it far a bit and it's a go'er! SCT won't tell me anything about its parameters though. They told me to buy the Pro-Racer package and figure it out on my own... That was NOT the right answer from them. Anyway, can you comment on it?
