Where do you find the socket to fit the wheel bearing nut on a 97' f250, extended cab, Heavy Duty, 4x4. The truck has the Dana 50 front with auto hubs. I have looked at all the local parts stores and on line and can't find this socket. It is a 6 sided socket not the type with 4 prongs like manual hubs. It seems to be between a 2 9/16" and 2 3/4" socket because neither one will fit it. Where do you find this thing!!!!!!!
Go to NAPA and tell them what you are looking for. If they try to give your one for the 97 F250 LD, tell them you want one for a 96, everyone seems to forget they kept making these trucks through 97. My dad has a 97 with the auto hubs and he got it at NAPA. You will know if they give you the correct one because the one my dad got listed that it fits 87-96 F250 HD on the package. I would tell you what size it is, but I cannot recall.
