It sat for 10 years in a garage before I got it at an estate sale.
I finally got it running well and have put 800+ miles on it in the last month. ever since I got it running it has been ticking from the top end, I figured that it was a lifter so I put some marvel mistery oil in it right when I got it running. I have put 800 miles on it and it still ticks.
What gives?
could a rocker be bad on an engine with this low of miles?
how do you find a bad rocker / pushrod?
A leaking exhaust gasket can make a terrible TICK, and its a cheap fix. Look for black soot around the manifold OR black soot on the ceramic part of the spark plugs. good luck.
