my brother had a 86 F150 4x2 and he put some blocks under the rear end and the coil spring spacers on the front. he got it real cheap from like farm king or somewhere random like that. It sat low also for some reason. actually looked good afterwords with that 2 inch lift. this is coming from me who hates lifts on 4x2.
No offense, but body lifts are crap! They change your center of gravity without changing the suspension to compensate. Besides that they look bad, because you can see the frame. You also have to relocate the bumpers, and deal with the shifter linkage and fan shroud. In my opinion body lifts should be directly deposited in the junk pile. They are the cheapest lift for a reason. If you want to raise your truck just get 2wd front leveling coils for 100-150 bucks. Replacing the front springs is easy. Just remember to get an alignment afterward or your tires will get trashed. Superlift makes them, but you can get cheaper ones from Tuff Country or Rough Country from JCWhitney for less money. After raising the front, if your still not satisfied, add 1, 1.5, or 2 inch blocks to the rear for about 50 bucks. Do not use cheap aluminum blocks from autozone though. Get some good ones. Almost any lift company has them. Your rear springs are 2.5 inches wide, so get that size block. If you look in my gallery you will see what it looks like when you have 2 inch rear blocks and 2 inch leveling coils with homemade 1 inch spacers. At that time it had 32 11.50 15 tires. I took it all off, because I wanted it to handle and ride better. I didn't see the point to having a lifted 2wd. Besides that my gas mileage was not good at all. Before I was getting about 12. I get 16 mpg now that its basically back to normal, and it handles, rides and just all around drives better without that stuff on it.

I n defence of those who do body lifts...1)they change the center of gravity-but not nearly as much as a suspension lift
2) they give you clearance at much more reasonable cost, and if done right-..look great
3) they retain more of they vehicles stock handling qualities b/c your not raising the frame any higher, therefore keeping they center of grav. lower than with sus. lift....
4) they do the job
there's more and I'm sure someone else will chime in
body lift kit 2" $169 not to bad by the time they ship it to canada $350 lol
With a $0.99 dollar buying in the US is cheaper than ever! Many companies (although not this one) will offer free shipping to continental US. I routinely have parts shipped to Richford Vermont, about a 15 minute drive for me. IF you declare, adding GST and PST still comes out cheaper than buying locally. Even if you live in the Mtl area, go for a drive, it's worth it!
Oh...and don't forget to fill up on cheaper gas while you're there too.
body lifts are garbage for a full size truck they are good for jeeps and some trucks if done right will handle almost the same but im not a fan of them at all
