Back to the original poster. I tried this mix (50% diesel/50% used atf) on my Kubota tractor. It ran fine and cranked up OK. The problem came while needing pulling power (plowing/bush hogging). When it would get in a strain you had to throttle up HEAVY to get it to pull. I wound up at a 1 to 5 ratio would work to keep the power up and even then it was a little lower than on straight diesel. I stopped even trying and went back to straight diesel.

In post #2 I pointed out that I quit using 100 to 1 after a few tanks. That was with using brand new ATF, I could not imagine filtering it very carefully for any reason at all, other than maybe a huge power gain and great lubrication plus's.
