changing wheel diameter

im looking at changing from 16 inch wheels to 17 or 18 inch how much difference does wheels size affect rpm if you go with same size tires.

If you pick tires with the same overall diameter then there will be no change in the rpm's or speedometer readings.

It's the tire diameter, not the wheel size, that determies the effective gearing and speedometer correction (if any).
