I own a 2006 Ford F150 FX4 "3inch leafs" and just installed a 2.5 inch lift in front. It made it level but it made it very stiff. So when I go down a dirt road or highway the back end sags alot. I want to put a block or a add a leaf in the rear to lift it up so it want do it that anymore. Looking more toward a add a leaf. I know how to put blocks on but dont know how to put add a leafs on. Can anyone help me with installation on a set of add a leafs. Thank you Ricky
I cant remember the exact directions but it is pretty easy and straight forward. Do one side at a time. Remove rear wheel. Jack up rear axle. Remove 4 u-bolts and plate that hold the axle to leafs. Let the jack down so the axle seperates from the leafs. Take off 4wd block. Remove the 2 center pins in current leafs. Add new leaf on the bottom and insert 2 new center screws. Reinstall everything as you took it off.
I dont know if that was exactly everything, but it isnt far off. Doesnt take too long (couple hrs max) to do in the driveway if you have some decent mechanical abilities.
