help v10 lost power
I have a 2002 F350 V10 and it started loseing power going down the interstate up steep hills. It got to the point where it would only do 40 mph. I brought it to the dealership to test the fuel pump. They said there was only old codes that came up and changed my fuel filter and took my truck for a ride and said it was my catalaytic converter and wanted to charge me $1563.00 to change it. That was too much so I took it home and I swaped out the cat and bought a new muffler. They charged me $153.00 for bad info. No change in my truck after that. I changed the plugs and coil boots and everything looks great. Now when I give it very little gas it will rev up to 3000 rpms and any more peddle and it bogs down and cuts out. Now it will only go 10 mph. I feel it is the fuel pump. What do you think?
