I have noticed a performance difference when I need to mash on the pedal in traffic, but it's not a huge difference. The coolest part of the sound is hearing the turbo whistle. It does have a throatier sound, but if you really want a big change in sound you'd have to go to a 4". My buddy had his truck straight piped with the stock DP and it did make a difference just to have no cat and muffler. I chose to go with the stock pipe from the delete pipe back because I figured I could use the extra savings to do a DP tuner or TW chip. I really don't think a 4" will make much performance difference from what I've read. This setup cost me about $160. I could have gone to a complete 4" for about $320. Next is the 6637 mod when my old filter is due for a change. That should compliment the exhaust.

Oh shnikies, I might have misinterprited what he asked, yes the stock dp w strait dose make a difference in performance and sound but its not as good as a dp w strait. I thought he was asking if it was better..... Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, it saves money in the long run. My wife keeps asking me why I need new tools, because she sees the tools I already have in my roll-away.

I tell her I need new "diesel" tools. The ones I have in the roll-away are for gas engines. She and nods her head knowingly; then goes to the store for new clothes.

I figure the tools I need are the ones I don't have. The tools I want are the ones eveyone else has. Sound about right?

I like that "diesel tool" thing, Mooseman. My problem is that my wife is an organization freak. I don't think she minds the tools as long as they are compact and neat. If they start straying from the roll away, she questions why I own them. We don't have much space to begin with, so I have to use every available space efficiently. I stopped storing tools in my truck box since it was broken into. That really hurt.
