The od light blinking means you're trans is in limp mode only second third and revers I think. and realy hard shifts don't drive very far in limp mode it will destroy your trans and they aren't cheap. mine went into limp mode this morning pulled over cycled the key and it was fine. if your FLPS, "TPS", is adjusted properly then you are either loosing tach or vss signal to the trans or it is registering a slip.

Is your speedo calibrated corectly? are the speedo and tach reading correctly when it gose into limp mode? What does you're trans fluid look like? Do your two problems always hapen at the same time or are they seperate problems?

for the not shuting off am I understanding correctly that you turn the key off and it keeps running but the volt gauge drops off? it could be the ignition switch or the fule shut off solinoid. How do you get it to shut off? If it shuts off when you un plug the fule solinoid then the solinoid is workig properly.

Heres a pick of the fule shut off solinoid in case you don't know where it is.

yeah you have to pull the shut off sylnoid but it seems like the only time it donsnt shut off is when we loose all volts if you let it sit for a day it works fine.... shuts off fine and everything the od light i dont know it will flash even when you restart the truck my budie replaced the nuetral saftey and a synoid in the tranny the flpl was replacced bout 1 year ago it shifts really soft like i said tho i guess he was driving it in the morning today and everything was fine then he starteeed it again and it was on and off and wouldnt go into overdrive?? i think its time fora mechinic

oh im sry no it wont shut off like you will be driving down the road you watch the volt gauge drop and if you try to shut off the truck it wont but everything in side the truck will shut off liek radio blower windshield wipers but the truckk still runnin soo there must be a wire that is shorts constant power to the injection pump??

Maybe or there could be something wrong with the switch you might want to search the forum for the not shuting off thing I think there was a post on here some where just this week end and they were saying something about some lever in the steering colum. not too familliar with the ignitons on thees though.

see if your local parts store can pull trans codes for you might give you an idea why its acting up.

mine gose off with cycling the key cuz its registering a momentary slip that I think is caused by my FLPS being out of adjustmen and causing line presure to be off under the right circumstances I need to adjust that soon.
