Resistor Wire Over Heating!

Ok, I ahve a 78 F-150 Ranger w/ 460 and a C6, The Resistor wire started smoking once before and I caught the short, it was near the Coil, Its smoking again, I have inpected the wire from the ign to the wire clust it runs into, from coil to firewall, no short wire is perfectly insolated. Where does the wire run after the the ign, it looks like it goes towards the AC duct assembly, But I can find it anywhere else, Does it junction anywhere else? I just need to know where it runs and how it gets to the firewall on the driver side if it apears to run to the passenger side, runnin out of places to look and dont wanna tear apart the wire cluster to find it any Ideas???

It looks like this and yes it is folded over and wrapped and runs towards the heater switch.

Hey thanks everyone, I found the short it was in the wire cluster, a guess it had been spliced before and just taped up. Tape came loose and presto instant heat. Thanks for your help, Mil1ion and NumberDummby!

I like this thread.
The thread title states the problem. (And makes searches more productive.)
The thread originator includes description of the vehicle involved.
The thread originator describes what the symptons are.
Responders can now zero in on the specific information needed.
The thread originator reports the solution.
And the thread originator acknowledges the responders.
