New Lift ordered!!

It's on it's way.....my truck will be a bit higher in the next few days. Pro Comp 6 inch spring lift front and rear is on the way! To be more specific....the lift I have now is sorta pieced together. I have a 2 1/2" leveling kit, in front with add-a-leaf and re-arched springs. Rear is 4" block. Gives me approximately 5" of lift. I will be leaving the 2 1/2" spring hanger kit on the front, and adding 4" Pro Comp springs in front, and 6" springs on the rear, along with a 6" drop pitman arm, and track bar drop kit to line everything back up where it belongs.....so my truck should be a 6 1/2" lift when it's all said and done! Axle wrap has been a MAJOR problem having the 4" blocks in the rear, looking forward to having all spring in the rear......I can get better traction for the DP Tuner that will be ordered as soon as I get the BTS Valve body! I'll post pics after the lift is installed

You will notice a definite improvemnt once you get rid of the blocks in the rear. More power to the ground and less wrap. I ditched my block set up back in September and went with Pro-Comp lift springs in the rear. I run Superlift springs in the front.

So do you get any wrap whatsoever with all spring on the rear? I'm hoping I don't....not real crazy about running a traction/ladder bar. Most of those take away from ground clearance!

No, I get power straight to the ground. I am only lifted 4" though. Not sure if going higher could let the axle wrap a little or not.

I too run superlift in the front and procomp in the rear. Have been running the procomps for not quite a year and i run my truck everyday at near payload capacity in the bed. They havent sagged at all i am impressed especially for the price. I run 6in, i had to shave off the last little angle spring shim on the rear to get the pinion-pumpkin to line up with the driveshaft just right. I no longer have axle wrap either and it was pretty bad before with blocks. With 3:73s i dont think you could get wrap out of the six inch rear spring, maybe 4:10s

The leveling kit is actually the only part that is staying on.......as stated in my original post. I will have the springs and blocks to get rid of though.....

axle wrap is caused when you lose traction on the rear wheels. With lift blocks....it actually lets the axle rotate from the torque, and your rear wheels, and basically the whole back of the truck will HOP up and down! It's extremely annoying, and really hard on the driveshaft. If I'm in 2wd while offroad, and get into any type of loose dirt on a climb....the truck is worthless. It will start hopping up and down pretty bad. Gotta just stop and put it in 4wd. I'm really hoping that all spring lift in the rear will cure this COMPLETELY. If not.....I'll be going with a traction/ladder bar.

Axle Wrap is when your axle will tweak foward or back under load, or even hop. I used latter bars with no clearance issues.
