After driving a 18 wheeler, and pulling a 40 ft gooseneck, I dont think it would be as bad as you think. Its still shorter than most box trucks. As for parking, well, thats a whole different story. Around here, I have a hard enough time parking my dually because it already hangs out into the isles. I think that 38 more inches would be overkill unless you can get two spots.
I have seen this truck. It has been in some of the local parades and such. I never have talked to the guy though. What surprised me the most was it is a factory built truck. I figured someone custom built it. But who would want it??? I have a crew cab which is handy with the grand kids but it does not come to town much because it is difficult to navigate and park.
I highly doubt that was a Ford conversion. He said its a centrurion which would make alot more sense. The truck may have some from the St Louis plant but it wasn't off the line with 6 doors.
