Pushrod Problems

I am in the process of buying a 1975 F250. It has a rebuilt 390 with aluminum Edelbrock performer heads. The current owner installed a roller rocker assembly. He told me that the angle of the pushrods is wrong. He said they arre too steep and that they need replaced with adjustable pushrods and shims. He also told me that I could just put back on the stock pushrods and rockers as well. I am confused with all of this. Can anyone help me out here?
