Hi to all I have E 350 Supper duty 7.3 diesel and last week the starter stop turning, my alt. gauge was very jumpy when I drive from zero to full charge and back I was thinking is the alt. but is not I charge the bat. and steel not turning I just hear that click and one more think how I take out this chase battery? Thanks I hope u guys know some answers to this.
How old are the batteries? You never change just one, waste of time. Take 'em both to somewhere that will check them and not cheat you. I've always sort of trusted Sears for the testing but will not buy the battery from them no matter what they say. You have to clear things up a little bit for us here. Very sketchy information you've given us to work with. What steel is not turning, the starter? Tongue in cheek that was.
Hi and thanks for U reply and i will answer U Q as best I can so I got this Van last Jan. from the dealer with very little info and this van have 380K engine run very strong and start very good the batteries I have no clue and how I can take out this battery from chase box. When I charge the batteries I do hear only click ones but no starter spin.
Have you tried jumpers? From a vehicle that is running and may have to run for a little while to put a little life in you old batteries. I can't really put in writing how to remove the batteries. Pretty simple though. Just a couple of bolts hold them both in. See if a jump does any good, if so, drive it somewhere where they can be properly load tested. Where are you? Cold weather conditions?
