Well I went out there and did a quick test on cleaning up the 5100's. Used a scotch brite pad and the wifes pots and pans scrub stuff. It's going to take some elbow grease, but looks like they'll clean up nicely. The salt they use here will make this an every year thing I'm afraid. Next year I'll soak with WD40 throughout the year.
thanks guy's..sorry i didnt get back sooner..had to watch the 500....thanks for the reply's..now i have time to do some digging and see what i can find...

Ron,
Are you running any sort of lift on your truck?
For the record, Jeff Burton got naughty word omitted by the five car!!! I always like to see him win. It is also good to see a wife that cares and knows what the heck is going on. Better than Jeff Gordon's "wives" (I think it is ploy to cover up his sexuality...)

no lift..all stock.....i wish they would let them go at it once in a while lol. I LMAO when Gorden went out then Johnson....true partners there..there team mates too...
thanks for the link Curts...4 bright yellow shocks came in last night..i think there going to need some paint..they just dont look right on a black and chrome truck..i will have them on tonight of things go well today...
thanks DC..ill give it a try..how would the set for 1 to 2" lift fit a stock set up..keep in mind the front springs are a little week...so it sits a little lower..cant swing the cash for them front springs yet....
Shipping cost and my fronts are yours Ron....my new lift will be done today. Just need to figure out who in the heck will ship them!
Crap. I just put new ones on the front. Guess I should have asked here if anyone had some for stock height, then went to a lift. Live and learn.
I guess I should've made it more clear.....I am talking about the springs only, not the shocks.....I already have the lifted shocks (5100's) I have a bigger-n-better lift now, and Ron had asked about the springs before.....just returning the generosity that is a part of FTE

Travis,
So you kept the leveling kit, but ditched the leveling springs?
haha I sorta did a sorry about that. I replaced front and rear leafs. I kept my shocks because they are the 5100's that are for 4-6" of lift. I still might have to replace the front shocks, because I will have a total of 6.5" of lift.....gonna have to see how much stroke is left on em after it's done. Should be done in the next couple hours!

I have a 2 1/2" leveling kit, in front with add-a-leaf and re-arched springs. Rear is 4" block. Gives me approximately 5" of lift. I will be leaving the 2 1/2" spring hanger kit on the front, and adding 4" Pro Comp springs in front, and 6" springs on the rear, along with a 6" drop pitman arm, and track bar drop kit to line everything back up where it belongs.....so my truck should be a 6 1/2" lift when it's all said and done! Axle wrap has been a MAJOR problem having the 4" blocks in the rear, looking forward to having all spring in the rear......I can get better traction for the DP Tuner that will be ordered as soon as I get the BTS Valve body! I'll post pics after the lift is installed
I think I'm with you. How much lift do you figure the add a leaf, rearched springs, and leveling kit gave you up front? Was that still about five inches? 2.5 for kit and 2.5 for spings/add a leaf???
