Even with the sport mirrors on my 250, I have about 2" on either side and barely 1.5" from the roof! when I pull that thing in the garage, the garage doesn't say "is it IN yet?" LoL

Just be sure to get the OEM mirror with the double swing (go forward and back) then if you happen to hit the garage door on the way out you won't destroy the new mirror as they will swing toward the front as well.

How wide is your garage door? 7 feet? I'm going to measure my truck width today with the OEM mirrors out of curiosity. This is one of the reasons I am putting 9' wide doors in the new garage. (9' high as well, as I don't like the minimal clearance that the 7' high doors provide).

I know a lot of folks here are going to tell you to stay away from the aftermarket mirrors on ebay but I bought a set and they do not vibrate as others have stated. I fact I bought them before I read about them here. $160 is about what I paid and they are one heavy f#%^ mirror. I was really surprised at their weight. Just as steady as the OEM sport mirrors I replaced. I tow a 28ft travel trailer and the difference from the sport mirrors to these is like night and day. Would highly recommend the extendable towing mirrors. If for no other reason, the lower convex mirror is great for those blind spots.

After all the advice I have been hearing, I think I am going to go with the Factory-type towing mirrors... What brand did you get ? I see some on E-bay from Diehl Auto Parts "Fenderworld"?

Thanks again !

CobraGT40--- The mirrors in your link to ebay look just like the ones I bought. I bought mine from ebay user "doctorautoparts". They came with a lifetime warranty, which I guess is only as good as the seller wants it to be. I see he is still selling them for around the $160 mark.
