04 V-10 Y-Pipe
Does anyone know of a company that makes a aftermarket Y-Pipe for the V-10? My buddy has an 04 and we were checking out the exhaust and noticed the factory Y-pipe is really necked down before going into the 3in. pipe. We just put the Flowmaster 70 series Cat back system on it and it would be nice to open up that portion to.

eBay has a few. People here has used them. You always could to a exhaust shop and have one custom made. The stainless one on eBay looks pretty good.

One thing to mention. The Y pipe is there because of the sound (among other things) of the V10. Replacing it with a free-er flowing one will change the sound.

Boxcar - Do you know of anyone having sound clips of the V10 with and without the factory Y pipe? I've been thinking about doing this myself, but I'm leary becuz I don't want to do it and then find that I don't like it and have to pay another 100 buck or something to undo it.

i have an 03 5.4 f350 sc sb srw. i made my own y pipe got rid the necked down "t" style and i sounds alot better in my opinion. it has a little more growl to it. i noticed no change to the tone inside the cab at freeway speeds either. i also have flowmaster force 2 cat back on it. i did'nt see much mileage gain but power wise it helps quite a bit. going to be making one for my friends o4 v 10 this weekend so i'll let you know how it turns out.

Ben - If you can get some sort of sound clips of video or something like that, it would be awesome...before and after...but I know that's asking a lot. It's one of those things like if you are thinking of it at the time.
Loudness of the exhaust doesn't bother me really, cuz I just love loud trucks...but the loud rumbled growl would be pretty freakin awesome too!!!
