Have you thought of just using a factory in dash tach? If you already have a cluster that has all gauges and no idiot lights is not that hard to do.

Factory tach cluster is the way to go if your truck doesn't have idiot lights for oil and gen. Plug and play and as a bonus you get a resettable trip odometer on the speedometer.
