Just yesterday changed the oil and oil filter with a bottle of HSS. Had a couple of injectors with intermittent miss. Filled fuel tank with 31 gal #2 and 4 gal bio. Today it does not run so well, especially during acceleration and trying to run at 55mph. Thinking it may be fuel filters. Did not have any at home and wanted to wait until I could pick some up at the IH dealer(cheaper). I have only run +/- 30 miles since oill change. Thoughts or Recommendations?????

If this is the frist time you are using Bio, you could have a filter problem. the BIO will clean your tank and the filter will suck it up. I get a couple of filter to keep on hand.

Ford manual states running Bio is a "severe service" application. The severe service fuel filter change interval is 10,000 miles (IIRC). I would recommend changing it at 5000 after the first charge of bio - looks like your charge would be around B10 and it is a very good cleaner at this concentration.

I see you have 133k on her. There is probably a considerable amount of diesel sludge in your tank and fuel lines. Like others have said change your fuel filters. With bio you need to monitor the filters very carefully. I would start with B2-B5 for a few tank fulls and then change your filters. I would then add a few more % of bio on every tank. After 3 months of bio your tank and lines should be nice and clean. Keep a few fuel filters and tools with you in case you need to change one on the fly. I changed my filters after every four fill ups when I started with bio.

My owner's manual says nothing >B5. What concentrations in excess of this % are people getting away with on this 6.0l? B5's the only concentration I know of around here and it's the same price as pure #2.

I'm running B10 for the past 3-4 months. I'm at 119,600+ miles and no problems.

I changed my filters at 116,232 miles 1 month after adding B10 exclusively and the filters still looked clean after 13,000 miles on them.

I've been running B50 for the last month or so. I wont go to a higher % until summer when it warms up. I don't notice much of a power loss but the mileage went down by 1mpg. Truck runs very smooth and has lost a lot of the diesel clatter at idle. The exhaust smell has changed to a more french fry smell. Ford states not to run any higher than B5. My thought is that Bio is a bit more work and must be monitored. The fuel will start to cloud around 40 deg and gel at 30 deg. It is also a good cleanser. So if there is any junk in your tank it will go straight to the filters and clog them up. If you try running on clogged filters you can destroy the injectors from starving of fuel. Also there are a lot of back yard brewers and it is hard to control the quality. Diesel #2 is pour and go maybe add some additive if the fuel is questionable.

im mainly running it for the added lube properties, diesel by me is $3.45 a gallon and I buy b-100 for $3.80 a gallon. I have a 33 gallon tank so 1.65 gallons per fillup is pretty close to b-5 or b-6 so thats what im running, truck runs smoother, and also a little quieter. I will probably start running b-10 or b-20 when its warmer. I just changed my fuel filters on saturday for piece of mind, I wasn't having any issues I had roughly 8,000 on the filters since last change, about 2,000 miles since I started running bio.
