MSD Distributor

Has anybody used one of these distributors or coil? Are they worth the extra money?

from what I've read msd is top of the line
personnally I wiould never spend the money for it,
unless I built a high output engine
factory stuff will do the same job on stock or near stock
the only way to need the extra output of msd is when you
build a high horse power and high compression engine
IMHO

coils yes better imo distributors are just pretty ford distributors all the same stuff inside i've run 1000 hp on stock distributor with a msd 6al and coil there distributors have more adjustablity but if you've messed with a stock ford one its not that hard to get it were you want it if you need a new one check you parts store you can get a remand pretty cheap.
but its like i tell a buddy of mine its yours build it like you want to

You couldn't give me another MSD set-up for any one of my vehicles. The DS2 ignition is a really good system and like everyone mentioned before, an MSD distributor is just filled with Ford parts. MSD coils are good and worth the money, the distributors and ignition boxes are just plain crap IMO.
