Plastic? There have been a few on ebay in the past couple of months. Revell and AMT? made models of the 48-50 F1 back in the 90's. Look under "1950 Ford truck"
does anyone make a model of the 48-49 50 body ...somthing 1:24 of bigger....
There are several '48 models in 1:24 scale (die cast & model kit) and even one in 1:18 scale (die cast). Check eBay and search under Toys & Hobbies for "1948 Ford Pickup" and "1948 Ford Truck." I've been picking up some of the smaller scale '48 pickups lately.

In 1998 they were very plentiful with the 1948 Ford F1`s 50th anniversary, I don`t know about now. We have a yearly Jan. farm toy show, that`s when all the good diecast stuff including Ford trucks come out.
Check out the company Maisto International, they make all sorts of diecast cars and trucks. I have a 48 Ford F-1 pulling a trailer with an early 60's Buick Riviera. I think its 1:24 scale. I also have the same truck all by itself. I found them both on ebay
I used a 1/24th Monogram model kit as a guide to build this 1/12th scale wood model 1950 F-1. I am still in search of a 1956 F100 pickup and would really like to find a panel of the same year, I do have a 53 panel 1/24 scale model. I'm glad to hear you found what you were looking for.

Thanks for the compliments, one of these days I might get back to building these models but right now I've got this big one hanging around my shop that the wife says I'd better finnish. That particular model took about 60 hours, I used the monogram plastic model as a scale reference. I've done other models from plans but I found they lack detail, I like to make things that have as much detail as possible, I have more pictures in my gallery of the 50 F-1.
Pretty work John, I still building plastic models at 59 but as a woodworker,I have never tried any carving, but that's some talent you have there

i finaly got it !!! cant wait to build it as im building the real one...ive always like when people have a model thats done to match at shows....and 56panelford that is a nice bit of craftsmanship....very nice...
I have two diecast models of a 51 F1. One I bought a number of years ago. It is a light cream in color and came with a fir (xmas) tree in the bed. Must have bought it around xmas time, I guess. Forget where. It is 1:24 I think, its in SC with the real one.
I found one in a restaurant next the Interstate here in Michigan a year or so ago. I wish my truck looked as good as this model. lol It is 1:18 scale, die cast metal with opening doors, opening tailgate, opening bonnet, working (turning with steering wheel) front wheels (back ones roll also), wide whitewall tires, spare tire, no rear bumper(optional when new), also a motor ,tranny, radiator, battery, fan blade, etc. It is dark blue in color, only one they had. Cost me about $30 w/tax. When I got it I thought of taking a few pics of it, I was so impressed with the detail, inside and out. It sits on a pedestal with Ford logo, year etc.
Of course you can guess where it is made . . . . . . . . . . . . China of course ! ! !
I looked it up on www.collectablediecast.com tonite and they have lots of trucks of different years. Scroll down a little when it comes up to Browse by scale & Show by automaker on the left side. They are made by Welly Die Casting FTY,LTD.
They have about 4 different sizes. I only looked at the 1:18 1:24. Hope this helps. I am sure someone in the states handles them.
Steve where can I locate 4 tires for my 1936 1/19 Ford pickup by Solido, I have the truck but no "shoes". Someone ripped off the tires so they are approx.1 3/8 o/s diameter with a 15/16-1" wheel hole. I have a side mt. spare to measure by with w/wallls, the thief did leave the spare tire. I have tried all my plactic models but they are too small.
Thanks for any help, Mike
