Pinstripe

Hey fellers,

After I got my truck I started looking really close along the body lines when I was cleaning it. I seen at one point in time it had pinstriping down the side of it, looked like the factory Ford style that just ran down the cab. I know ford didn't have pinstriping on these trucks and I was wondering where I could get some online. Would I need to find some F-150 or Excursion Pinstriping?

Thanks in advance guys.

Are you talking about the two tone pin stripe, or a stripe that was higher than that?

Upper Pinstripe, I have seen it on F-150s, some have the Lariat wrote into it.

I guess try ebay or maybe try directfordparts. But I know for a fact that those factory stripe kits are not cheap.

Look up an auto body paint supply store. They will have lots of options and way cheaper.

I think that is what I will have to do, I know from Ford it is EXPENSIVE. It isn't as hard as you think to put it down Nic, I did a 25 Ft gooseneck trailer plus the neck and it wasn't that bad. Jeff, ebay was a dead hit tried it several times with no luck.

Even if you do get a stripe kit for a 150 or other vehicle, it most likely won't match your truck colors anyway.

Well the oxford white and gold trucks are the same as ours. The pinstripe I seen is two stripes of gold down the side.

That took two people running that entire lenght, but it is very easy to mess up, this is with the tape pinstriping not painting it on.

Went to autozone and got a kit for about $6.00 -Put it on in about45 minutes - Theres no fancy laredo writing on it but it turned out pretty good and straight. My wife liked it so much she asked me to do her car too. Even did some fancy squiggles on the ends of my truck with a little practice on a piece of scrap sheet metal.Good Luck.

Go to window tint shop, most of them also do pin striping.
