Hi for the past few months I have been chasing this squealing noise in one of my idlers or accessories I have changed out a few Idlers and my power steering pump it will make the noise only after a hard run and when I get out to check where the noise is coming from it will stop
Well today I found where the f@#^ing noise is coming from I bought a mechanics stethoscope and had just enough time to get a listen it is the air conditioning pump!
Is there a way of getting the pulley off do I need a special tool or is there a trick?
If I find I need a whole new pump I may just get rid of the air conditioning all together I only use it maybe once or twice a summer any way I,m figuring this is why it is pooched anyway
Does ford make a replacement pulley setup for in the place of the pump I did this to a 91 I used to own

You can change ot the bearing , or the clutch itself a regular puller will remove it...
You need to remove the bolt. you have to find a way to hold the outer piece from turning to get the bolt out. There should be a small shim behind there once you get the outer plate off. Then there will be a snap ring that holds the bearing/pulley on. once the snap ring is off then you can pull the breaing/pulley off.
