Anybody know the part number for the 7 pin trailer tow plug that goes on the back end of 2001 F250. I need to replace one that is in pretty sad shape. and I want to do it with an Oem if I can find one.
do you need just the plug end, if your connector that goes into it is good I have the plug. mine the connector broke so I replaced the whole thing with an aftermarket set-up.
Sorry, called Ford for ya, and that's what they gave me????? Go figure!! I just replaced mine a few weeks ago, ran about $36. Receipt is at home or I would look at the factory part number on it.
I think the number I got from Ford for you is the whole assembly. I think he said $112. I just bought the plug in part. Quick install, held in by a clip.
I couldn't find the dang receipt last night, must have disappeared on the work bench like the socks do in the dryer. Sorry. But yeah, that's all I bought too was the part that plugged in. Four screws and one clip and it's in. Ford had it in stock, like I said, ran about $36.
Try a place that sells trailers, tractors, heavy machinery or even a farm store. I bought the plug several years ago for about $8.00. I made my own mounting bracket.
