Pretty simple question. I just replaced the engine in my 92 f150, 302 for an earlier but pretty much the same 1990 ish 302. I left the main hose to the air pump off. Through a series of small lines I see that it will have some effect on the electronic ignition. My question is how will this affect performance both high and low end and fuel economy also? I was thinking it might screw up the automatic timing advance for high rpm

Are you talking about the small vac lines that go to the solenoid deals? They only
switch where the vacuum goes to open up either the back of the heads or cat
passageways for the fresh air stream.
