ZF5 tranny issue
Greetings everybody. Great site!! I have a 91 F250 that I use/used in the winter, but @ the end of last year the trans started to jump out of reverse---Not to often, but once in a while. Now it wont even move in reverse with out jumping out. I have heard these tranny's were the achelies heel of the ZF's, and my search for one has come up anything but good. (Either cheap and no warr. or re-man and $1500.00) My Q is this, I have found several ZF5's that were originaly bolted to a 460--and mine is a 351W.......Will it bolt up being that the bellhousings are part of the housing?
