You may have a PCM pin for tach, but the easy way is to tap the trigger wire on the coil. The coil trigger wire is the one that goes to ground, while the other is constantly hot. If the engine stops just right, one wire will show power and the other not. Usually they are both hot when I check, so you may have to bump the motor while probing.
Be sure to cut the wires in the back of the tach to select 6 cylinder operation.
