chevys OK the way I read this is you have a C6 off your 400 and you want to put it on your 351C.
The 351C has the Small block bellhousing bolt pattern and the 400 has the Big block Bellhousing bolt pattern... So the C6 off your 400 won't fit on your 351C... But the Trans off a 351W or 302 will work on your 351C.
Open mouth without thinking.
Shazam's got the right info. I had it backwards.
Sorry,

The 400 that was in the truck smoked really bad, loss of power,The thing uses about 2qts of oil a week ,It smokes one and leaves the other on the ground
My neighbor came to the rescue He just rebuilt the 400 in his truck and wants to put a 460 in it I have a 460 that needs rebuilt and he said that I could give him the motor and 150.00 bucks and I got my self a fresh motor
I dont think changing everthing over to put a 351c in is worth it know you know what I mean!!!! fresh 400 and all
thanks
