Driver's side window freeze shut if it's cold outside? No ice- just cold. I can't roll mine down when it's cold out until I run the heater for awhile. Anyone with a solution? I can't figure out where it gets hung at. I put pressure on the roll down handle and beat all around the perimeter of the glass to try anf break it free but nothing.
i would start by shooting some type of silicone spray in the window track on the upper half of the door (where the window sets when closed). see if that helps. if it still does it, then might be inside the door. i dont think the "inside of the door" warms up much when the heater is on a short time.
i have had the window freeze up on my 98 150, its usually the outer weather stripping on the bottom side of the window opening. i have a plastic putty knife and slide along the stripping and usually it opens up just fine.
Mine freezes at the outer weather stripping at the bottom. You usually don't notice this unless you try to roll the window down shortly after you been sittiing a while. Mine usually takes about a good half hour to thaw by itself with the heater on.
I don't think I have ever owned a vehicle where this did not happen in the winter months. I do know that forcing it is a good way to really screw up the window.
