Well Monday night around 8pm I was driven on my way back to school from town in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comCastine, Maine</ST1. I started to slow down on the main road and my rear end kicked out. Small over corrections leaded to bigger ones. ended up going off the road at a 45deg angle at about 35mph. dropped on the road about 2 feet into 2ish feet of snow and rolled the truck and ended up face the other way on its tiers. All 3 of us walked away with just some scratches on my hand all had belts on. Ive got some pics but need someone to post um. Truck staid running the hole time. Tried to get out in 4low but was just to stuck in the snow to get out. only body damage was done hopen their not going to total it ill find out this friday if they do.
Bad idea rolling truck. I've done 1 truck (in spectacular fashion) in front of a bunch of spectators in the San Gabriel Mountains. 7 times it went over and looked way worse than yours and I would not let the insurance company total it, cuz I had more in mod's than what the repair cost was going to be. 1 car. a '56 Mercury on Camp Pendleton, that one there, I remember the last thing I tried to do was fasten my seat belt. Did not get it done. But other than a few bruises and very little blood in either accident no one was ever hurt. Oh, the joy's of being young and crazy.
PS: to that last. The incident in the San Gabriel Mountains, I had a young Mexican man beg to be a passenger on this very difficult hill climbing attempt. I said, sure jump in. Do not remember if we were wearing seat belts. But when the truck finally came to a stop at the very bottom, believe it or not still up on all four, the Mexican said, "Mon, dat was more fun than Disneyland, let's do it agin".
sorry to hear about your truck
but i think insurance will total it , from what it looks like all the body has some type of damage. keep us posted on the outcome.
Oh, so how are they going to replace it? A check at NADA based price. I would not settle for that on a bet. I would have to have a 7.3 of equal value or see them in court. That's how I handled mine.
