dp tuner Qs

I am looking at getting a dp tuner, about to order the gauges, just waiting for my truck to get the new clutch put in it. is there a way to get the dp with the old style flip switch, or can you only get it with the f5 and new gauge pod switch?

The F5 comes in the square "standard" type, or you can pay extra (I think) and get the round one to fit in a gauge hole. I'd call Jody/Diane now, that way you can discuss what you want and plan accordingly. Then when you're ready to actually order it, you'll be set.

No turn **** switch. I asked...
The F5 isn't as tacky as I thought. I really wanted to hide the turn **** under the seat or something of the sort so others wouldn't be able to find it (read: F with it) but I don't mind the F5 now. It is SMALL. Like they say, it is about the same as your key fob. Since you have a manual, I would go with the gauge pod mount bc you could have an open hole for it easy enough w/o getting a four gauge.

make sure you ask about "turbo surge" after you install the dp tuner.....I got it with my six speed manual now that I have a dp tuner and I am now in the process of installing a wicked wheel to cure the surge.

To tell you the truth, Jody will say go with the ATS housing. I asked him and he said something to the effect of ehh,argh,ahh you really don't want to do the WW. If you want to do it right you should do the ATS housing. The conversation then went into smart person mode and I just said, ah ha, ah ha, ah ha and it made sense to me, but I could not explain it all to you. Go ahead and call him. I wouldn't take my word for it! After all, I am just some moron with a computer hundreds of miles away!!!
I asked Jody abount intakes and WW/ATS and VB's and just about every other 7.3 part mentioned here. I figured he didn't have any strong enough affiliations that he had any reason to lie to me.

I think the problem there is the ATS runs what? - $1000 or more? and the WW is like $60... Easy and cheap cure.

I thought it was only like $300 (I never did look though). Jody did mention that problem, but he said it is that much better.
