DP Tuner vs. Flashed PCM -- will it work?

I have an opportunity to buy a DP tuner off of a guy. I currently have the Flashed 80hp eco. PCM and was wondering if I could run the DP Tuner chip with the Flashed unit or not? The DP tuner has a 6 settings on it, stock, 40, 60, 80eco, 140 smoke, anti theft. Did DP make a on the fly tuner other than the F5 remote? I don't recall this one having the remote or not.. I think it was a turn dial? Maybe I'm wrong.

Also, Would I be able to run the 140 smoke setting on my truck without problems? When I mean run, I mean just every once in awhile.. it will stay in the 80 eco most of the time. He told me he ran it on his truck with stock injectors, hpop, etc, had a 5 inch exhaust with ITP overboost eliminator.

I've been wanting to upgrade to the tuner chip for sometime now and I think nows the time. Let me know what you guys think.

Yep, I planned on doing that in the morning anyways. I really moreless wanted to hear feedback on the 140 smoke setting. If its too much were it can cause problems, etc. Like I said, I will very rarely use the 140, just maybe to blow a soot cloud on rice burners..

It will work just fine in your truck flashed or not. A lot of us had the older DP 6 pos chip. If the deal is right, I say grab it up. The best tunes are on it regardless of the type of selector. Just make sure the PCM codes match closely enough. PMT, NVK etc. You may need to call if there is a big year difference or PCM code disparity.

I believe it is an older 6 position chip. I wonder if I could get a F5 remote for the older tuner? I'll have to ask Jody when I talk with him.

Also, this came off an 01 and my truck is an 02.
