Exclamation flash computer or ???

ok sorry if this is not the right saying for my question. LOL I had a 2000 f350 cc 7.3 with a 5 inch bullydog turbo back exhaust and a bullydog power pup on it, well i sold that truck due to me fixing it all the time and the problem not going away. So i bought a 2004 cc lariet f350 6.0 i seem to think that my 7.3 did better on fuel then my 6.0, i have two buddies one with a 2004 excursion"spelling" and the other is a 2005 f350 cc 6.0 and they have had both of there computers re done from ford. was that a ford recall issue that i am not aware of? they tell me they get better fuel MPGS now then b4 the computer was done, and a lil more power. how do i know if my computer has been reflashed? and if it needs done is that a ford issue? and what version do i want? I know on my 7.3 i had some mods done to it but i did not think what was done would have been that big of an issue. My other ques is how hard is it to get a 4 inch DP back on after i take the 3.5 off? I am thinking of installing my 5 inch exhaust on my new truck but i will need to get a new DP from bullydog first since the 7.3 and the 6.0 are bent different. I called bullydog and asked if they will sell me just a 4 dp and they said no but i called JEGS and they will sell me a DP only for. So that is just a thought. sorry for the long post.

I have a 2006 and I have the latest flash VXCF5H5 TQCK0T5. I got it on 12/2007. My mileage went down by 1.5-2 and there have been several threads about the lack of power with SCT custom tunes with this flash. DO NOT GET IT. I did not want it and asked that my truck not be flashed when I took it in for a leaking power steering hose. They flashed it anyway. The 6.0 does not get the mileage that the 7.3 does. Sorry can’t help with the DP question.

From what I understand the 04s have a better flash than the 05 and 06, go ahead and reflash it. also the factory dp is a 3" I beleave and a 3.5 will fit just fine, but a 4" you might have to do a little hammering on the firewall to get enough clearance for it. As for install itself its really easy.
