damaged iwe

With all the talk on here about the iwe does anybody have any pictures of damaged ones?
Are the iwes the weak spot or does it cause damage to the hub also?
Are there any aftermarket replacements or upgrades?

Never seen anyone post pictures of damaged ones. I can imagine it just looks like gnarled up gear teeth on the ones that have been trying to engage prematurely and end up grinding the teeth to bits.

The IWE is the "hub". Like I've posted before, I think the IWE's themselves are pretty tough, it's the vacuum circuit parts driving them that are the weak link.

No aftermarket parts of which I'm aware. You'd need a whole different front axle to ditch the IWE system.
