Nah, I used all aftermarket parts when I jacked up the front end of my Ranger, everything was warrantied and fit perfectly. I was quite satisfied.
Moving from TX to OK where it actually ices, then having everyone from TX here that's never driven on real ice, I'm quite happy my Explorer has a grille guard and a towing receiver (with hitch always installed)...just in case.
That's the third Dodge I've seen or heard of that had the bumper cave that way. Kind of weird.

Got my truck repaired today at the local Ford collision center. They did a very good job and I am very pleased. Both chrome bumpers replaced with front valance and step pad on rear. The aftermarket rear bumper did not have the hitch plate so they had to install OE (guess it was good I went to a dealer). Plus they washed the outside, blackened the tires, and cleaned out the inside real good.....looks near new. Pics are in my gallery.

few years ago my friend was siting at the light in his 79 ranger crew cab and got rear ended by a blue hair in a caddy no one was hurt but the caddy was nicely turned in to a really expensive paperweight he called me over to help him bend his bumper back up gotta love a ford

Good, you are on road againe. But driving aero I hit Renault Van a week ago. Now I repare my front bumper. I drive w/o bumper. Illegally, but cops see enforsment and let me drive.
