Chris

I found a 1972 F100 6cyl 3spd. is coming up for auction in late march.

Will that work for ya?
I'll be going to the sale either way. Talk to ya later on msn but thought let you thinbk about it, I forget till what year a 3 spd works for the flattie.

ya from mid 1964 to 1978 bolts right in and is a full synchro tranny. keep the driveshaft too or cut the stock one down and there might be issues with the splines on the input shaft but with the 300 it should be ok otherwise its a new clutch disc (i think) and the problem is solved. Important that its the later part of 1964

I don't think I need parts for a 1972. sorry

Oh never mind I remeber, that 65 had a Ford industrial swather motor in it, that tranny coulda been out of a Chevy for all I know.
They say you can't shift into a granny low gear while in motion. But anyone who says that hasn't pulled a 1080 Massey tractor up Fort Quapelle.

Depending on what it goes for I maybe interested in splitting it with you.
