Both of mine have 5 digits. What I am thinking is that Ford started to revamp the interior for the 1995 year model during late production of 94 models. B/C in 95 rangers cam with airbags standard. Thats why I have pre-95 models. I hate airbags, and the frames are different. The crush zones on 95's and up are different. The frame has deeper ripples where the bumper mounts compared to 94 and earlier. Just some of my personal observations while working on these AWESOME vehicles.
mine has tach and the 5 digits and tenths. mine is a mid year I believe as I have had to go to 93 to ID some parts one time as the late 94-95 item was different. Just cant remember what part it was.
As I posted before, I have 6 digits showing 107,000. I bought mine Dec. 1994. I believe it was assembled in the fall of that year. So what DesertStorm says may be the answer. BTW I served (AF) in DS north of Riyadh from Sep 90 to Apr 91. Still serving today 23 yrs +.

That makes sense. I bought mine late August 94 and it was made early July 94, and i to have the six digits showing 106,000. Only other thing that might make sense is the different trim levels might have used different odometers
???
My '94 says 178,xxx on its odometer. Unless the Ranger was that much different then my Mazda it should show six digits, not five. I, too, suggest carfax.
I was wondering the same thing as mine has a 6 digit odo and she is a Ranger!?!
I know in the 94 there were two different dash clusters. One had the tach and one didn't. For those of you who responded 5 or 6, please state which cluster you have (wondering if that is the difference due to spacing).
