Scott, I got my parts in for my auto hub maint. I will be doing that this weekend. Looks easy enough. I'm not having trouble but that sounds like something good to do.
IIRC there are only two wires on the vacuum solenoid. Switch the hot one with wires run to the cab and a switch. Turn off to break the circuit and the solenoid will remain closed and vacuum pump will work as if nothing is wrong. Switch on to allow the circuit to make and when the ESOF switch is made the solenoid will make and your hubs will ingage.
I have to use the ESOF switch to turn the transfer case to low. I don't quite understand this yet. The solenoid turns the vacuum off to the hubs? And if I join the hot wire to a toggle switch then back to the solenoid hot post, the hubs will not lock?
The ESOF switch energizes the motor on the transfer case to engage the front drive shaft and also enegizes the solenoid to open the vacuum lines to the front hubs. If you switch the solenoid power supply, the transfer case motor will still work and the solenoid will not if you have it switched off. The vacuum pump comes on when the key is turned and anytime more vacuum is needed. It has nothing to do with the ESOF switch.

I got it now. Thanks for that info, I will be looking at doing this this weekend.
The Miller Mod sounds cool for those that simply do not want to give up their auto locking hubs, but boy i sure love my Warn Premium Manuals!! $170 out the door and 15 minutes to install and never ever have to worry about auto locker hub maint or breakage ever again!! priceless.....

Just click on the Manage Attachments button and follow the instructions. I upload directly from my computer. Please downsize your pics to somewhere around 600 x 700 pixels so it don't take up so much room on the thread.
The other way is to upload the photo into you gallery, then you can just copy and paste from you gallery.
