So my transfer case crapped out on me a few week's ago, It was a NP208 that was bolted up to a C6 and it had the slip yoke on the rear output.
And i found a NP208 in a junkyard that is also bolted to a C6 but it is a Fixed yoke on the rear output, So what all would need to be changed if i went to this one? Driveshaft lengthened?
A whole different driveshaft. If you use the fixed output, the driveshaft still needs to move in and out. So you will need a rear driveshaft that looks like your front driveshaft, with a slip yoke on the driveshaft. Unless the one you found is a super deal, I would wait and find the proper one, I like the slip yoke inside the transfer case myself, no need to keep it greased.
You can find the DS you need in the yard, or have yours modified to work. I actually prefer the fixed yoke, that way if you lose your rear DS through a U-joint failure or other problem, you can keep going on the front axle since you wont lose all your t-case fluid when the slip yoke comes out.
