It has an all aluminum 6.2 LS engine so we traded weight

Let the hate begin. I think an LS upgrade is a great option for this truck. But some people just cant stand it.

Gotta comment on cage as well. It is quite a sight to behold, probably even more impressive in person.

Thanks! It will have more bracing before it’s done. I have not seen it in person myself, the pictures are from the fabricator that I elected to redo what I did but better. All the work I have seen in person is high quality. Hope to have this thing driving next year sometime.

1977 4wd crew cab short bed 400m with dual tanks

Does anyone know what the stock exhaust looked like on these trucks? Did any of them come with dual exhaust exiting from both sides of the box?
thanks,
Kurt

Howdy all,

Just joined and am getting started on this Beast. You should see me here a good bit asking questions. I know very little about it. One owner, been in my Girlfriends family since new, but I may have to marry into the family to actually get to work on it. I've already been told "Don't fix the dents!"

Few dents here and there, and repainted at least once, a ton of rust in the bed and floor boards, and a rough replacement 351.

It was an overstocked fleet vehicle for Brown and Root, apparently, when purchased new by her father, I guess in 77'.

Looks like a score to me. Love the color.

I could only WISH my in-laws loved these trucks as much as me. Heck, I'd be OK with them even accepting the trucks as acceptable...

Welcome to the Dentside, PatStat69! Awesome Crew you have there! Lots of friendly folks with a ton of knowledge here. My in-laws are chebby fans so we have a love hate relationship, lol, all in good fun though! It burns Cool Pop up that his sweet daughter, Belle, drives a ‘78 Bronco and a ‘12 Mustang. “And it’s all my fault” 🤣
