Need a cam and a intake!

Rebuilding a 78 460...need a hotter than stock cam.Nothing to hot just a little faster.And a good dual plane intake.Going in a 78 F150....not a whole lot of towing......just a little streetable zap.Give me some good numbers. THANKS!

I did the Elderbrock performer package on my '85 and was pleased. The kit included cam/lifters and it was supposedly matched for their intake.

The best "TESTED" intake for your operating range is the Edlebrock Performer.I recommend the "Extreme 4x4" series of cams by Comp Cams.Try the 34-231-4 number.Also the Comp Cams Hi-Energy series are "sure-fire" cams.The 260 version will provide excellent torque and smooth idle.One other option,the stock cast iron (early)intakes work well also,there just so heavy!
