great weekend Snowmobiling......

WEnt up north (Mercer WI) on Thursday morning... Had to waittill this nightmare was cleared up http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/n...,5105250.story

Then snowmobiled in GREAT conditions on thursday.

A buddy broke his sled up on friday, Then my brother melted down his motor towing my buddy, but we managed to do about 200 miles that day.

We took it easy on Sat, then put the sleds away and came home, escaping this mess

Why would you drive all the way to Mercer when southern Wisconsin had perfect conditons?
My brother and I rode about 70 miles this weekend and the snow was excellent.

I'm having a terrible time with my snowmobile here, in S.F.

They just don't ride as well, in the sand and rocks.

Dam ice plants also get in the way.

Im with you on this. We dump the sleds just outside of Burlington and take the trails up to the Kettle Morraine trails. The trails are nicely groomed too. It sure beats driving the extra hours that you could be on the trails.........however, since you are a flatlander Jake, you may want to head much further north....lmao j/k
