I've seen TKO's and other transmissions like that ripped apart with alot less torque than a stock V10 would make....it would have alot to do with the driver, and how hard they beat on it.
JL
Why build something like that if you can't beat on it??? LOL Isn't that the point?
Taking this knowledge, the obvious thing to do is bolt a V10 in a Mustang with a 5-speed behind it. That would be fun!
Was done right here in Vegas years ago......fairly straight forward swap according to the owner. (even though he did go hoodless for a while)
Silver State Motorsports had a hand in the swap and I kinda knew the owner. (Ran at Phoenix with him when I had my Cobra)
Actually saw the car not too long ago at a local auto parts store.....but I didn't recognize anyone inside as the guy I knew. Only mention this because the car is still on the road!!!
It was a '96 or '97 Mustang and used the stock T-45.
Many a blown Cobra or even blown 2 valve that made more torque than a stockish V10.
I have a 99 super duty thats a v10 auto. A buddy of mine has a super duty that's 5.4 6 speed manual.. what all besides the givens like pedals and such would I have to do to make it work or will it even work at all???
