Have an 06 explorer that wont start after normal cut off a few days ago, The instrument panel is not lighting up at all, when you turn the key acts like battery is dead but the battery is fine. could this be a blown fuse?
Check for corrosion at all connection points starting at the battery terminals
down to the starter and the ground contact to the motor. If you live where
they salt the roads the starter being on the bottom gets some salt on it and
rots the contacts. Pulling them off and sandpapering the connections so they
are shiny then using dielectric or vaseline when you reinstall them will prevent
it in the future!!
Turn the headlights on, and then try to start it. Write back in what the headlights do(if they go completely out, or stay fairly bright when you try to start it).
