I've been thinking about buying some of these wheel balancers. They look like they work really well. If anyone is running them, let me know how they work.
I run them on my 96 and have for over 2 years now, probably only about 20k miles with them though. Never had a hint of vibration. Only complaint i've got is slowing down from highway speeds coming in to a small town, ie. going from 70 to 40 mph in short order. i've experienced almost a bouncing effect, very minor and in no way spooks me. It's only been when i've been pulling my 6 ton equipment trailer, so it could be more to do with the torflex axle or some other interaction from the trailer.
Installation is easy, they come with two sets of bolt patterns, so if you ever move over to a Superduty generation, you can transfer your balancers to the next truck.
I ordered some Equal tire balancer beads recently and i'm going to put them in my 95's tires this spring and try them. Much cheaper, about $10 per tire, but downside are they are lost if the tire is ever dismounted for repair.
I run BFG M/T's in the LT255-85-16 flavors on both trucks. The trucks have factory steel rims, the 95, and Mickey Thompson aluminum wheels, the 96.
I just came up on these the other day and just did a search for them because I was also interested in them. You say the bouncing happens with your trailer hooked up, so it doesn't when you're not towing? Also, I have had a lot of problems with loosing weights off my wheels, but with these, you don't even need weights do you? Thanks for chiming in, and sorry for stealing the thread.

No, it happens unloaded. And no, I don't think you need wheel weights. But I can only imagine it would further help the balance. And if they did come off, you probably would never know it.
Thats what I was wondering. I have heard Balance Masters makes some better ones in the fact that they dont click or make any noise at slow speeds and sound like they balance a little better. Now, I saw the Centramatics on a website and they were 190.00. Is that just for two wheels or all four? Thanks for answering back.
