I never miss a chance to pickup more 70's truck memorabilia , I know alot of others are that way too, so I'm passing this along ...

I actually bought one of those. Haven't put it together yet. An 79 F350 4x4 with a camper special bed with the spare tire compartment. Was there such thing?

I don't think so, but they sure look cool.

There was a time when these models were as hard as hens teeth to buy, and priced accordingly.

I had one of those cept mine was a 250, then I had the bigfoot model and the "boss hoss" bronco. Very sweet models.

would get a couple of those but would rather have 2WD and have no clue where to get twin I beams for a model

that model has all the parts included to make the truck 2wd except wheels. i have 5 of them and an original 70's model of a 76. not very acurate, all the 4wd parts of that model were taken from the bronco model.

This model was specially ordered by One company and distributed by them.

AMT will make any model you want.. you just need to order 5000 of them and it's yours.

yup, thats the one. when they make model kits, there are often different versions of the same kit that get released over the years. in order to make the "new kits" they usually just add parts to the molds. and block off the portions not needed for a specific kit. when they made up this kit the didnt block off any of the "unused" parts, so whith the exception of the wheels you have all the parts ever used in this models life. the 4wd model is just a rehashed 2wd model. so you get both parts. but there are no instructions for the 2wd stuff as its kind of extra stuff.
