Rebuild Pics - Finally Got It Done!!! (mostly)

It really wasn't bad at all. Getting the alignment of the inner fender and radiator support was cake. I think the hardest part was pulling the frame diagonals even. The left frame rail was pushed back about 3/4 inch when I started. Got it straight though, took it in for an alignment, after lift and all, and all they did was center the steering wheel. Rear axle thrust is off by 0.25 degrees, but I can make up that by loosening the u-bolts and fudging the axle a little.

Got it from company in Portland, OR that buys rebuildable vehicles from insurance companies and resells them. It was a lot of work, if I did it all at once it might have been like 2 weeks if you know what you're doing. Problem is I'm in school 6 hours from home so I was having to get free weekends to drive home and work on it. I bought all new components except the fender and hood, didn't want to paint if I didn't have to. Don't ever mess with used inner fender or radiator supports, just not worth the extra hassle. Plus I painted the inner fender and radiator supports with a high quality rattle can white so it looks factory when you lift the hood.

I'm pretty sure they are EGR flares since they're made in Australia. The Bushwacker rep that responed to my emails believed this as well. EGR doesn't sell singles, so I'm going to have to buy the front set for around $200 and paint one... I just left the fronts off for now until I decide what to do. Maybe cutouts and 38s are in my future And gears...

Heres pic of one I recently did with the 6.0. It had hit a pole dead center.

I think dead center would have been a lot easier fix than mine was I think they clipped a tree with the left frame rail. Frame rail was pushed back and down, 3/4" each way. Also, left spring hanger was pulled back and front of leaf spring was uncurled with center pin sheared off leaf pack. Axle was fine though and it didn't even need an alignment when I had it checked. That shows you how beefy these axles are
