I have had mine on my 04 F150 for 18k and it has been on my 06 for about 15k. No problems whatsoever.

From a Ford dealers perspective, you should have no problem if you follow directions carefully. Run it in extreme (#3) without 92 octane and I can tell you from experience it causes terminal damage

I've had mine for about 70k miles. I use mine in #3 and #2 equal amount of time. I have had my share of problems but I can't say that I wouldn't have had the problems if I did not have the edge. My problems were typical of the model. Spark plugs, exhaust manifold leak, blown pcm(could have happened with or without).

Did you mean 91 octane? The manual calls for minimum of 91.

I'll be getting an edge when my truck is out of the shop. Even on level2 do you have run 91 octane? Or could I use the mid-grade 89? Just curious. Thanks.

Level 2 is actually an 87 octane tune.

87 is the minimum for level 2. If you run higher octane than that you can bump the timing to get a little more performance.

Unhappy

Thanks for the info on the edge. I'm sure all this is in the instructions that come with the unit. Now, I just want my truck back....

Engine longevity isnt going to be an issue with any of the programmers. The baseline tunes are conservative. The weak link is the 4r70/75e transmission.

From the front to the back....the converter, clutches, drum bands, etc. They are weak. For those that drive hard and tow with added HP/TQ from mods, spend the money on the transmission.
