70 floor pan
hi there new to the club but life long ford fan, my 15 yr old son just purchased a 70 f-100 to work on and drivee, the floor pan is a bit rusty and has some holes, is this a job he can handle in shop or should he go to a pro? and info on how to go about it would be helpful.

They offer both floors and cab mounts. Depending on how much you need to cut out is how much work it involves. If it's just floor, then clear out the interior, cut out the rusty and weld in new. If it needs cab mounts too, then it's a bit more work. Some like to remove front clip to make it real easy but you can do it with front sheetmetal on also. Just can't jack the cab up as high(enough to get weight off to remove old mount).
I'd call it a relatively easy job that could be done in a driveway(or garage) with simple tools, including a welder.
